Morph Question

CricketCricket Posts: 477

I have a question about morphing V6. I appologize if this offends anyone (and Mods feel free to delete this if it's innappropriate for the forums). Is it possible to size V6's breasts indepentently of one another? Keep in mind, I don't have Z-Brush, so everything has to be done in DAZStudio itself.

this is a fair question. the mods won't mind.

Yes, you can do this. You have a choice, use Hexagon, or deformers. There are some threads (prolly hard to find with the new forum atm) that recently covered these options. You could use deformers inside of daz studio and shape the figure. and save those deformers out to morph targets to be used.

Or do it in hexagon, send back to daz as a morph.

Some people are amazing with deformers. I don't really use them myself anymore however and use hexagon. Both paths work, one is completely in DS.

Ok, how do you use deformers within Studio?

    select figure
click create new deformer (name if you want to, usually helpful, button is on my screen but depending on your setup find it in the menu CREATE>New Deformer)
Deformer will be created and nested under the figure in the scene tab (never move the _base item, at least i dont think you should)
the field object represents the area of influence, select it and scale it down acordingly, move it around, just get it into place. to adjust which verts will be manipulated in the next step. red is full influence, yellow not so much
Select the D-Former_1 object to adjust the highlighted verts (or whatever the name of deformer is)
you can scale and/or move them

once happy you can pull up the Dform tab
    go to windows>panes tabs>dform
there is spawn morph section in this tab
choose the options you need from the three (make sure the figure is selected first, not the deformers)
    click spawn
    name morph

under morphs you should have the new morph

better tutorials are available, this may enough though

btw i use the parameters tabs, not the shaping stuff. so if you use shaping tab not sure how that all works.

I did what you said, but I must have done something wrong, because I can't find a morph in the parameters or shaping tabs. I'll keep messing with it and see if I can find a more detailed tutorial. Thanks.

what options did you pick for the spawn morphing section? and did you look under Morphs in the paremeters tab (did you try using search)

only step I could imagine you are missing is choosing the right options for the spawn morph action. or not naming it something you could find.

You may also be able to get some use from selecting the Pectoral bone and scaling that.
