I just bought Apocalyptic Plant Outdoors Set 1 - Iray HDRIs which works very well except once I have chosen a backdrop I can not seem to change it for a different one from the other selections in Apocalyptic Plant Outdoors Set 1 - Iray HDRIs. I can not see how to delete the exsisting one and clicking on a different one will not change it .Only starting a new scene can I choose a different one Im sure i must be missing something any ideas please?

    Hi,

I also own this amazing set of HDRI's.

When you click on the apocalyptic HDRI which is also your background scene, it automatically changes the HDRI in the Environment Map render settings.

Render - Render Settings - Environment - Environment Map.

Select the Environment map and remove it by choosing the option 'None' then go back into your content library and choose the new HDRI map/ background you want. Once selected, it automatically again puts it in the Environment Map section of the render settings.

Hope this was the answer you required.

    Cheers.

    :-)

EDITED TO NOTE : Cameras from the previous loaded HDRI have to be removed from the scene via the scene tab before this will work. It seems both the new HDRI and its cameras need to load for the change to happen.

Just tried this, to double check what I am saying is correct, and it works fine without needing to start a new scene.

SECOND EDIT : Just played some more, and it seems that by just deleting the cameras from the previous HDRI scene in your scene tab allows you to click on a new HDRI set and it loads. So no need to go into the Environment Maps render settings as the change is automatic.

    Hi, Thanks for your screenshots.

Sorry this did not work, there is another way which you may like to try.

Say for example your scene has apocalyptic 01a as the lighting and scene....this has 3 cameras....and you want to change it to apocalyptic 03b Night :

First delete out the 3 cameras from 01a in the scene and click on apocalyptic 03b Night set in your content library....four cameras will load into the scene.

Next go to the render environment tab and left mouse click on the Environment Map and choose browse....this takes me to the apocalyptic HDRI folder.... Choose ApocNight-03b_hdr.hdr file and click "open"

Your environment map will then change to the Apocolyptic Night 03b HDRI (for this example) and the background scene will change accordingly.
You should then have the right background and number of cameras for your chosen HDRI.

I do apologise for any confusion, and hope you have success with this method. I will post screen shots too, if required.

    Cheers,

    :-)

Hi and sorry to be so late into this thread. Yes, it's a little ragged doing this, but it seems this is how it works right now. However, there is one more way. Delete the cameras from the first set that was loaded. Load the new set you wish to try, then load the "Render" Environment with the matching name. Either way, via choosing the new HDR in the Environment Map settings or this method both work for me.

Thanks for the compliments! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the product. The photoshoots there were interesting to say the least. :)
