Inaccurate Sales Math
I'm seeing A LOT of items in the store tagged with inaccurate discounts. What's the deal?
Examples:
Atlantida Temple Props #21685 @ $16.95 - 80% = $3.39 not $3.49
Murder She Posed #22053 @ $14.95 - 82% = $2.69 not $2.79
In Motion Poses for Genesis and Genesis 2 Male(s) #21285 @ $14.95 - 74% = $3.89 not $3.99
i13 Modern Loft #22187 @ $18.95 - 31% = $13.08 not $13.26
Regal Gothic Cordivae #21855 @ 10.95 - 73% = $2.96 not $2.99
Dance Practice for Genesis 2 Female(s) #21682 @ 16.95 - 71% = $4.92 not $4.99
All the items set at 30% off and 51% off seem to be accurate, but I cannot find any discounts otherwise that are mathematically accurate. In case after case, the after discount prices are significantly wrong. I believe you have a Weights & Measures issue.

Comments
It looks like some of those percentages got rounded off wrong, e.g. 79.4% rounded up instead of down. The percentages are calculated from the prices and rounded to 2 digits, rather than the sales price being calculated from the percentage.
Many of these are PC items, which have a set price ($1.99, 2.99, 3.99, 4.99, etc). I'm not sure about the % shown, but with the PC items, it's often not correct..
The discounts are rounded up to the nearest whole number, which is why you see price differences of up to 1%
I accounted for 'rounding up'. And I acknowledge that indicating percentages like '73.4%' or '79.22%' is silly. One cent can be overlooked as a rounding error, but there needs to be an accounting when these items are 10¢ to 18¢ over their stated percentage discount (after rounding up).
Regardless of what or why, something is definitely wrong when the sale price does not match the discount percentage. I don't care if they change the percentage to reflect the sale price, or change the sale price to reflect the discount percentage. I am convinced it is an honest mistake, but it IS a mistake to present the wrong price, especially when the math is plainly visible. It is a state Weights & Measures issue and i'm pretty sure it is illegal if allowed to continue. As a long-standing customer, I'm primarily concerned that it is corrected. For the children. Think of the children.
As lee said above, the PC prices are fixed amounts, so the actual percentage of their "full price" will vary, and since almost all prices, both full or PC must end in .95 or .99 (for obvious marketing reasons) then the percentage discount will not be a whole number.
For other items, the way stacking discounts are calculated mean that total discount in percentage terms is also often not a whole number.
Bottom line, look at the final price, the percentage off is just a guide.
