Reality plugin has an IBL sphere to help placing HDRs, what about iRay?

The Reality plugin has an IBL Sphere feature to help with moving the HDR around in your scene prior to rendering.

Is anyone working on such a feature for iRay? It is badly needed.

No plug in needed. See this thread.

That just doesn't work for me. I need something like Paolo's IBL Sphere for Reality. It is simple and works without taxing your system.

Now that I am on this, something equally to help with the Sun if possible.

For the Sun, I add a Null to the scene, then in the Render settings under the sun settings, select your Null in the drop-down. That should help greatly with positioning the direction of the sun. :) Just move the null to the position you want the sun to shine from.

Have you looked at DAZ Studio Iray HDR Outdoor Environments? This product has 5 HDR scene presets. I don't know if this product is what you are looking for.

edit: nevermind. I misread you question. Sorry.

    Thanks. I'll try that.

Have you tried using the iRay sun dial? You can literally point it to the exact position you want the sun.
