Duplicate formulas & Files not found with 'Big Expressive 8.1 for Genesis 8.1 Male'
After I sent the message below to the author Neikdian, I realized that it may be better to post it here. Hope it is the right place.
I spent hours trying to solve this issue, read multiple threads, but I am probably to much a newbie to find the solution...
======
After I purchased and installed 'Big Expressive 8.1 for Genesis 8.1 Male' I get the terrible "Duplicate formulas found..." message when I load a Genesis Male 8.1 character (including if I only load Genesis Basic Male 8.1).
When I completely delete 'Big Expressive 8.1 for Genesis 8.1 Male' the problem disappears.
I have Daz Studio 4.20 (newest version); I am working on a iMac 2017.
I didn't use Daz Studio for quite a while and just started to work with it again.
I found many messages about this "Duplicate Formulas found..." issue, but not a real solution.
Should I delete certain files?
Which ones?
This is my first experience with 8.1 characters and with a dedicated expressions pack.
I add a small part of the log file.
Hope somebody can help me.

Addition after a day of trial & error:
I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software, but it only increased my problem. When I click a preset icon I get the message "Do you want to save the current scene... etc.) and the "Cannot open; File not found".
The dials work fine; the content is there; when I click on a preset in Finder (like BEM 24.duf) it works fine.
I spent hours trying to solve this, but with no success.
Hope somebody can help me.

How do you install your content?
Recently, I reinstalled Daz Studio from scratch and installed my content via DazCentral. Daz Central and my iMac 2017 are not a good combination; DC 'hangs' all the time. So sometimes I use DAZ3DIM installation manager.
Some content from other sources I installed manually.
Everything worked fine until I installed 'Big Expressive 8.1 for Genesis 8.1 Male'
Ok, in that case the first problem is that you are logging in to DAZ Studio and some of your content has been installed twice, once with DAZ Central/DIM/Manual installation and the second time with DAZ Connect within DAZ Studio (in 'Smart' Content)
So what should I do?
Actually, I never worked with Smart Content, only the Content Library.
This path is proof that at least some of your content is installed by DAZ Connect within DAZ Studio;
"...My Daz Connect Library/data/cloud/1_85174/data/daz 3d/genesis 8/male 8_1/morphs/neikdian/big expressive 8.1/02.dsf"
Set your startup options in DAZ Studio as in the attachment to stop logging in to DAZ Studio, then you need to uninstall the products that have been installed by DAZ Connect and the uninstallation can only be done inside DAZ Studio.
Thanks PerttiA, that really helped me to find the issue(s). Now I have a view of how to manage my content.
After spending an hour or so deleting individual content, I decided to make a fresh start.
I completely deleted DAZ from my system, including library files.
Than I downloaded DAZ3DIM and DAZStudio again; keep DAZStudio offline and manage my content with DAZ3DIM.
Working on an iMac, I stay away from DazCentral.
It takes several hours, but I have the feeling of cleaning up my house instead of walking in the dark.
Thanks,
Eric
Duplicate formulas again after reinstalling 'Big Expressive 8.1 for Genesis 8.1 Male' from Neikdian.
As I described in an earlier messages, I completely reinstalled DAZ Studio and my Library.
After I installed 'Big Expressive 8.1 for Genesis 8.1 Male' from Neikdian again, the "Duplicate Formulas found..." message returns.
When I remove all Neikdian related files, the issue disappears again.
I remeber that Sithlorsims once informed me that the character "Archie" (Renderosity) could give the "Duplicate formulas found" issue and Sithlordsims updated "Archie".
All other issues are resolved (mainly 'Files not found' after the clean installation of DAZ Central and my Library (using DIM).
I am not an expert, but my simple logic tells me that probably Neikdian's 'Big Expressive 8.1 for Genesis 8.1 Male' is causing the issue.
Are there any other users having issues, or is it just me?
It doesn't have to be a single-product issue (it can be, but it isn't usually). Usually the issue is a naming clash between two different sets, looking at the log to find the name that is causing the issue and then identifying which, if any, othe set is suing the same name will ofer two things that can be flagged to their store/maker for adjustment, hopefully at least one would be renamed.
I had the same issue and decided to return the product.
I guess that I found the conflicting packages.
'Big Expressive 8.1 for Genesis 8.1 Male' form Nekdian seems to have a conflict with 'Spicy Fusion for 200 Plus for Genesis 8 Male' from Lyoness.
How did I find this out? May be not the most clever way, but it worked anyway.
I deleted group after group the Genesis Male 8 characters and expressions packs from my library (using DAZ3DIM).
After each time I deleted a group of packages, I checked if the 'Duplicate formulas" issues had disappeared or not, until it disappeared.
Then I reinstalled small selections of the suspected group until the issue came back.
After I found "Spicy Fusion for 200 Plus for Genesis 8 Male', I installed all deleted packages again (group by group) to see if there would be additional suspected package.
Finally, only 'Spicy Fusion for 200 Plus for Genesis 8 Male' from Lyoness remained.
Neikdian's Big Expressive 8.1 for Genesis 8.1 Female also was causing duplicate formulas errors. Uninstalling the product fixed it. It's those two expression product creating conflicts.
My best guess is that it's because those expressions use morphs along with the facial bones and something in those morph files 01 to 03 is conflicting with character shaping morphs a user might have in their Genesis 8+ library.
Probably it's fixable with Notepad+, but I think this should be corrected in the product in the store instead of being fixed by the user.
