Animated Daz Characters > C4D using .mdd files, help pls!

Hi everyone, first post on this forum.

I've been scouting the internet all day today to find an answer on how to properly export animated Genesis 8.1 characters including all morphs and subdivs and came to the conclusion that using a .MDD file is probably my best shot. However, all of the information I could find is from 2013-15 and very outdated. Riptide plugin doesn't work anymore with the newer C4D versions and I can't seem to figure it all out..

Is there anyone who has a working and up to date workflow for this?

It's been awhile since I've sent an animation to C4D through the Riptide plugin but here goes. If I recall correctly the last version of C4D that Riptide works with full functionality was R19. You can get the animation into R20 using the Insydium(sp?) Bridge. At that point just save the animation within C4D R20 as a project. That project should be able to be opened in R21 and above. I'm pretty sure that's what I used to do. If that doesn't work out for you I'll fire up C4D and have a look around. Also, there's a script by mjcasual that will send out an animation as an .obj sequence at any subdiv you set for the model in Dazstudio.
