Hi,

I'm looking for a Body-Hair texture or so for V6.
Does somebody know if there is an add-on or skin-overlay?

Thx

I've been using Exenem's Body Hair for V4 with pretty good results via auto-fit. It's basically an invisible conforming body suit with multiple options for hair attached, so it's completely UV independent and has multiple options for arm, leg, armpit, pube and torso hair. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/exnem-body-hair-for-v4/109326

You've been using it in DAZ Studio? I was intriqued by the product, but it seemed like it was Poser only.

If you willing to shop "at the darkside", ie the other store that starts with render, there is armpit and "lower" hair for G2F

Well, you have to manually adjust the materials, of course, but the basic rig works fairly well. Here's a side beside of the same character with and without. I really laid it on thick to make it visible on the net, but It's easy to make the hair less prominent by fiddling with the settings.

Cool, Thanks! I'll likely get it now.

To be honest... I was never impressed by what I've seen on the market as most of it looks like bad fur to me... You'd far better serve yourself with a little practice and paint it yourself. It's a lot easier than you may imagine. The common thing that freaks people out with regard to body hair is... You don't have to paint every single hair on the body to achieve an effect. Body hair is not a beige or solid black line. You really are only seeing the glint off of a highly translucent fine hair which is also very high in specularity. Generally in a certain angle based on the light angle. A few small specs of light is all that is really needed to get the effect. I'm not saying this example is perfect, but it was my first effort in creating the effect... way back when I was learning how to paint hair in post.

I'm a fan of Real Hairy for things like underarm hair, but that's a larger scale thing.

(http://www.daz3d.com/real-hairy-for-genesis works pretty well on just about everything)

I would agree for the most part. The body hair system at "the other store" produces fairly horrible arm pit and pubic hair evidenced in the promotional renders, but the fine body hair looked really good. I would even agree on "painting it yourself" if I were an artist and not an engineer. One should never do real work when a reasonable technical solution is presented. :-)

The real question is whether I can approach the quality of the promotional renders.

The point is moot right now, as I've blown my budget on G3/V7.

Hello.  I realize this thread is a bit old, but I purchased Exenem's body package for V4, hoping I'd be able to use it in Daz.  As suggested, the material files are for Poser (mt5 format).  Would you mind explaining how you manually adjusted the materials for use in Daz?  I'd super-appreciate it!  :)

Are you working in 3Dl or Iray?

    That looks good! Nicely done!
