All the doors open (about eight of them in five separate buildings) and there are interiors.

The garage has some props, the other interiors are just empty rooms with grey walls.

For Backstreets: I purchased this model back in 2006 and always liked it. The buildings don't allow for hiding walls if you wanted to furnish the interiors. Only the buildings with doors would allow this. You can see inside the buildings without doors, but it would be hard to place props if that's what you wanted to do. Although you can hide buildings and props if you only want to use a few buildings.

As with all Stonemason products it is very highly detailed and makes a great background for those depressed neighborhood scenes.

Wow, for all the times I've used this, I've never thought to try to open a door?! :gulp:

  • Can anyone tell me how to control the doors (open and close) on the Hotel Room map 2101? Thanks!

Generally just click on the door itself. Under transforms there will be relevent open/close, raise/lowerr, or tilt options, depending in the door type. For instance, the garage door has raise/lower and tilt dials.

Stones' scenes are so incredible we never tend to look beyond what we see right in front of us, i.e., those stunning and expansive exteriors. The fact is the man includes well detailed interiors in pretty much ALL his scenes, regardless of their sizes, as well as doors, shutters and windows that open. He just doesn't do a lot of advertising about the features.

I have used his interiors in many a render, though admittedly they are a pain to work with camera and figure/prop wise. (Imagine trying to furnish and populate a room on a specific floor in a building in one of those scenes.) I've used them in animations when I need an exterior and interior where the camera pans or zooms in and out. The hard work pays off though. I have never regretted putting in the effort.

This particular alley has no interior doors, just exterior ones. The interiors are just spaces to exist behind windows.
