Throwing Poses

I'm looking for poses that feature throwing something by hand. A baseball, knife, spear, etc.  I've found some but it's only one or two out of a set. Seems like this should more common considering all the weapons of that type available. I'm sure there are partial poses I could work with but don't know how you'd search on that.

Any recommendations?

It's simple to apply partial poses from poses you already have, in DS, e.g. if you want to change only the arm pose then select the shoulder on the figure, then press ctrl and double click the pose you want to apply the arm pose from, on the dialog you then choose Selected and Recursive, and then Accept.

Throwing an object in sports is not a pose, it's a dynamic process that lasts milliseconds and involves the body from toes to hair tips. Body position changes drastically during the throwing process.
Also, the position of the throwing hand and fingers obviously depends on the object being thrown.
Throwing a javelin, frisbee or boomerang are also very different processes.
So IMO a partial throw pose is nonsense.
I spent an hour trying to create a javelin throw "pose", the result is not too bad, but not perfect.
It is also important that the eyes aim at the target.
Google "throwing sports" images helped me a lot!
    So my recommendation is:
Creating your own poses is fun and rewarding as you create something unique. And it's free!

    Have a nice day!

Your right it's much more that the arm position. I'm looking for starting stances mostly. An underhand softball pitch is drastically different than a hardball overhand. I these cases, the pose is before te release; for a knife it would be after.

I did find some G2 but will have to convert.

I tried a search on animation in the store and got slammed by a lot of garbage that had nothing to do with it. So I went to my own Product Library and was surprised to find how many I had! Must have been included in a lot of bundles.

One of the things I read somewhere on the forums was you could stop an animation where you wanted and use that pose. So here are a few that I saw had some obvious throwing motions, including a person throwing their body onto another:

I would also point out the many, varied magical prop sets that often include throwing poses:

Thanks a ton for those.  I'll take a look as I'm sure I don't have hany of those.

I did find one or two in very unexpected places just looking through what I alread had, that really any respectable search tool should have found.

The process of creating a believable sports pose is fairly long and involved. I have created a sports ground freebie and have been creating poses and equipment for it much more slowly than I had originally intended [caring for parents-in-law takes time]. I have found that it's much easier to create an action sequence than individual poses. That way you can go back and forth through the sequence to get each one to flow into the next. I plan to do javelin, discus, shot and hammer eventually, but only have got to the running starting poses and hurdles at the moment. https://www.renderosity.com/freestuff/items/88827/g8f-sprint-start-poses and https://www.renderosity.com/freestuff/items/91622/g8f-hurdles-poses

Thanks r&t. I'll keep those noted.

How convenient that this morning some converters I had on my wish list just happened to go on sale.
