Problem Fitting shoes/Boots
I've been trying to fit some shoes or boots to the figure Star for several days now and for some reason I keep getting this odd effect that won't go away no matter how many settings I tweak and modify. I am using a G2F to Star converter, but this happens with the shoes that are designed for the character too. On a side note the character won't accept pose expressions either. would these two things have a similar cause and can anyone suggest a fix?

Are you using DAz Studio, or Poser?
What kind of character is Star? G1, V4? Poser?
When you apply the boots, did you make certain to select "Star", and not any of the other clothes that you applied earlier? (just asking routinely :-))
@lee_lhs: Star! is a character available both for poser and daz sold at rdna (not based on an other character).
@CoryRose40: The clone you use is a freeby and you should ask to its maker.
Did you update !Star. I couldn't use the poses without it breaking !Star until I did and the free morph is the same.
Good advice Wilmap !! I forgot to tell about they update...
I am using DazStudio, and Star is up to date, I checked for the latest version just a couple days ago so i know its not that, I had that problem once before. I do indeed select star when I try and load the shoes and boots. If the problem is part of the clone settings made by Aeridis3d at https://aeridis3d.wordpress.com/ I will try and contact for more info. I'm also going to try and run the clothing through the Crossdresser program and see if that helps any.
Thank you for the advice.

Thanks for the help, Ive managed to solve he problem a little, but i'll have to keep working at it. here is what i've managed to get with a lot of tweaking. I'll have to refine it a bit, but I can work with this for now.
From the looks of the original image, the boots you were trying to fit to Star do not even fit G2F properly, or it was made for V4. G2F and V4 are very similar in shape, except that the feet on V4 are pointed downward, while G2F's are straight. When the clones don't fit the clone character well, it won't transfer the weightmap well and create odd warps. Try fitting the boots using the V4 clone instead. It may fix the issue.
I'll give that a shot, I didn't think of trying a different character setting since they are G2F boots...One quick check...and nope, almost exactly the same thing, only the boot isnt centered in the leg now. If the boot would just fit enough to look normal i could just hide the foot and be done with it, but even that doesn't work. Im going to look around and see if I can find some free Star Outfits that have shoes that may work.
Ah well, thanks for trying.
I guess it wasn't V4 boots afterall. Like I mentioned before, if the clothing doesn't fit properly to the original figure, it won't bend well when used on Star. The only other way to fix it is to use the Joint Editor and Weight Map tools to move the joint and fix the bend, then you can save the boots as a new wearable for your own use.
Hmm, I haven't learned how to use the weight map and joint editor yet, no clue where to even start. Hopefully I will figure all this stuff out eventually. I'm also just beginning to use zbrush and 3d parts of photoshop as well. I did manage to find a pair of heels for Star so i'm good there, boots were found, but i have to buy them so that will have to wait.
How did you do it?
