Non-billboard (low poly) Medieval/Fantasy crowd?

Hello everyone! I'm asuming the title is clueing you in as to what this is about ;-) I'm going to make an aerial view of a Dragon/Wyvern attack on a Medieval/Fantasy city.

I want a big crowd of civilians fleeing the scene, and having a few dozen G8 figures running about seems like a waste of resources. Especially given in the final picture they'll be about 20, 30 pixels tall, if that.

I'm not a big fan of billboard style crowds to solve such a problem - I, personally, find them lacking in quality. So, I went about looking for low poly humanoids. Alas, most of the ones I've found are in modern garb, safe for a monk, and a 'Arab' who could be a wizard or such in a pinch.

I'd be most apreactieve if someone could point me to a source of the kind of models I'm looking for, even on non-Daz sites such as, say, Sketchfab or Turbosquid. Thanks!
