Date Night Hair IRAY

Is it me or does Date Night Hair's IRAY and 3DL mats seems reversed? I get absolutely no reflection when I use Iray on that hair in a final render. Yes the render is set to use Iray. When I use 3DL mat I get a glossy shine.

Select the hair, then in the Editor tab of the Surfaces pane select one of its surface groups. What shader is listed at top-left with the different presets applied? Also, is there anything in he scene to be reflected in the hair?

the annoying thing is I have already started the final render and it won;t be finished for at least a week. So I guess we'll have to wait and see. But the more glaring thing (pardon the pun) is that there is NO color on the black hair like a light literally  cannot reflect off it. ONly time I see this is if there is a 3DL material where an iray should be.
