Hello everyone. So currently I am working on a Mountain Rescue Helicopter set. Any criticism is greatly appreciated.

the helicopter comes fully animatable, all doors open and Rotors rotate. Plus comes in 3 different texture presets. Also includes a Medical bed.

Detailed Interior.

Helicopter is based off of the B412

And a mountain scenery backdrop prop.

Here are a few renders. :)

Nice, a project near and dear to me since i used to design addons for MS flightsimulator and did a few helos including a Huey 204 and 205 and have repainted a ton of different helis.

based off the images you posted, you need to have a blurred rotor prop for inflight renders to give the appearance of moving rotors. Also when not in use, the main rotors droop and in other instances are tied down. Also since I can't see it in your images, look at the angle which many helis sit when parked with the nose slightly up. i also thought the popout floats option on the skids looked really cool.

Textures, I would make the seats and belts a little less shiny and even more worn looking, same for the floor and the skids, or better yet, have it as a texture option. I notice you have some rivets showing, so more of those would add to the realism, since there are a ton close up, especially on the nose and around windows and doors. I would add as much detail as you can to the textures since the scenarios a user would have in renders will either be in flight or close up of characters interacting with the model. I would also include a good texture template since most will probably want to repaint it, so hopefully the UVmapping is layed out in a paint friendly design.

This is the model I use in Flightsim and also in Daz Studio since I helped beta test it and exported it out of the game as OBJ, so I welcome a new one that is rigged

Thank you for the great input. I'll see what I can do about adding more texture realisum. About the Blade rendering with Motion blure. I find it very difficult to make motion blur inside Daz3D and in Photoshop since the blur would be at an angle. Have any Ideas on how to implement better motion blur

  • So here is what I have done so far. I created three more textures and put more rivit details on the model.

I like the yellow rescue color scheme,  could definitely see putting that one to use. If the interior seats had a bit more leathery grunge to show they are in constant use,  would  certainly be nice to see. The whole set looks great.
