They want you to purchase at least one not free new item but it can't be during it's intro sale? If I didn't buy a new item during it's intro sale, I'm not going to buy it while it's new but at full price. It's not like you get the half off discount on the new product you buy. Just the older products. They've gone from the confusing to the just plain ludicrous.
The new release that triggers the discount can have its intro pricing.
Yeah, that's a shame. I was hoping to use it but there's not much incentive to use it if the discount is not going to stack with other offers.

I stand on my assumption that DAZ's store is now operated by people who don't speak English as their primary language. There are so many things posted that either simply aren't correct anymore or that are grammatically self contradictory that it has to be at least partially generated via Google translate. :wow:
So I did a little experiment to illustrate how weirdly inconsistent the April Showers APR-30 discount is behaving.
I put two new releases in my cart, one from today and one from about a week or so ago, to trigger the APR-30 discount. Then I put an additional three items in my cart -- making sure that they weren't new and weren't PC+ items. I made sure to include a DAZ Original (Keiko) as well as an older item not involved in any sales whatsoever (Charlize Accessories). I also included a control (Toon Trucks Bundle).
As shown, Keiko only gets the expected 30% off DO discount. The April Showers discount doesn't apply to this item. I assume that's because it's already being discounted. What's puzzling is why the April Showers discount isn't applying to 3D Universe's Charlize Accessories. It isn't new and isn't involved in any other sales. Finally, 3djoji's Toon Trucks Bundle is receiving the April Showers discount -- which shows that the discount is indeed applying to the cart.
I'm even more confused now. The coupon works on Fast Grab items, but not on Flash Sale items?
Also, the Flash Sale items aren't displayed as -60% and will only appear with the discount at the checkout screen.
Sounds pretty much exactly what happened with the Free PC+ item last week, where no one seems to have ever seen it go on sale.

Yes, but I do appreciate the fact that both sales' disclaimers say that they exclude PC items. Because, you know, P3d and Faveral both make so many PC items. :roll:

Yeah, I tried it again with the same two items that you got to work. I typed the code... I copy/pasted the code... It is not working...
I will just save my money. I never buy anything at full price anyhow and this seems to be what they require.
Yep, not working here either. tried a few different variations of products, even ones I don't want and the coupon never worked. Oh well, not much I really need now anyway, thanks for the offer though.

Oh wow. Probably a bug on the back-end since I've never seen that requirement for a Flash Sale before...
The Flash Sales should now be working correctly - I certainly see the discounts in the artist's stores, without adding to the cart.
The April Showers coupon should apply to items only if they are not discounted as part of another promotion - FastGrab or Flash Sale for example; there was some inconsistency in how that was working, which should now have been fixed.

What about if it is a new release in it's intro period? I put the Fox bundle in the cart and a not new, non PC, PA item in the cart, applied the coupon and it states it's not valid. Is the Fox bundle considered part of some promo or whatever? The April Showers coupon is supposed to be a new item that isn't PC and anything else besides GC's, memberships, new releases and PC items.
Same to me, nothing I add to the shopping cart did accept the code

I added a New Release (with the default 30% PC discount) and an older release without any discount to the cart, but the code is not accepted.
I have got to be honest, this "Coupon" has done more to discourage me from buying than if it wasn't there at all. I was all set to grab a couple items from the flash sales, and saw the "Get an "Extra" 30% off" banner. I looked at it, and was happy. Tried to apply it, and was not. I'm not sure what definition of "Extra" Daz is using, but if it doesn't stack on any discounts/sales, it's not "Extra", it's get 30% off items not on sale.
In the end, I cleared my cart and put my wallet away.
These coupons are only meant to work for customers to whom were given on-site messages when they logged into DAZ. Also, the conditions on the message state that this offer can not be combined with other offers. We at DAZ have tested these coupons to ensure they are working. If you received an onsite message with one of these April Showers offers, please check all of the following before applying the coupon code to your shopping cart:
-Make sure you are logged in
-Make sure there is a new release in your shopping cart that is not a free item
-Make sure the item you are expecting a discount on is not a new release, Platinum Club item, Gift Card or membership
-Make sure the item you are expecting a discount on is not an item created by one of the following PAs:

Which ends up making the sales a kind of anti-selling tool. Plus, given the reports of some of the other vendors whose products aren't working with the coupon, my guess is that it may also not be allowing the coupon to be used on the catalogs of vendors who are in whatever sale breaks tomorrow.

Don't forget there are conditional offers running - buy a new item from the Foxes or Prison new items and it places certain stores on sale, which accounts for a lot of the list.
