Saving Genesis 8.1 expressions

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could tell me if an expression that was created for a Genesis 8.1 character using FAC can be saved? And is it saved the same way that a dial spun expression is saved? I have saved dial spun expressions before but I have never used the FAC controls to create one.

You created it using the face controller, rather than with the figure selected? Save a pose preset for the controller (which will avoid having to fiddle with node  selection in the options dialogue as only the expression controls are there) or, if you don't want to have to load the controller, with it selected use Edit>Figure>Bake to Transforms to turn its settings into poses for the facial bones

Hi Richard. Thanks for the answer, but I now have a couple more questions based off of what you just told me. Is there a way to create the expression using the face controller with the figure selected? And if so, is it saved in a different manner from what you just told me? Sorry for my ignorance around this but I have only just started to trry the FAC and I really don't understand it well yet.

You can of course pose the face bones directly, and then they will save as a regular preset without fiddling
