    ...early morning complaint:

Transit system (or the city, not sure who); removed two bus stops in my neighbourhood to allow for more fraggin car parking (for a stupid new apartment building that has no car park associated with it) . Now if you live between the two main intersections with traffic signals, you have to walk several blocks up to one or down to the other. Tired of having cars impose themselves on those who do not drive.

...and the transit commission mentioned they were trying to make transit moire "attractive". Going to write them and the city when I get up later as the removed bus stops were fairly well used by neigbourhood commuters.

There are monster tram stops here taking up half the road about every half block here now

I don't care what kind of roll it is. I'm hungry. I'll take 2 of these, right now, please.

Geebus, did the Tulsa Transit people take over your transit service? Sounds like, the "walk3 blocks to the nearest stop on a major road" thing is rampant here. :blank:

    That just blows.

Survived my partying (wheeeeeeeeeeee), in recovery mode. Play games (Neverwinter Nights 2 Complete) and eat all day!

On transit: The absolute best place I've been for mass transit was Silicon Valley. We had buses, light rail and heavy commuter rail all the way from far south San Jose up across the Golden Gate into Marin County, and ferries across the Bay to Larkspur, and underground under the bay into Oakland and the hills beyond. There was, almost literally, nowhere in the Bay Area you couldnt get close to via transit.

Second best, oddly, was the Washington D.C.capital-area transit in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Only a tourist or a politico would ever DRIVE into D.C.! Bus and light rail all over, was soooo easy to get around.

Third would be Austin, there were some areas hard to get to, but what was there was pretty reliable and they had started adding some larger, faster buses when I was leaving so it's likely even better by now.

Tulsa blows. Buses run every 45 minutes to an hour, they don't run early or late, they break down routinely in the Summer, the drivers are surly in the main, and there are places where the stop o major roads are about 6 blocks apart!!! :shut: The Tulsa Tranit people don't listen to the people that ride, apparently this is a well-known issue but the city doesn't care. I need to finish off this contract and LEAVE!

Anyway, off to take care of myself. Everybody have a great day!

Too much rain in Texas. Hasn't it already been raining for 40 days and 40 nights? Enough, already.

Forecast is for this weather system to continue through the end of the month. Maybe instead of a rain gauge, I should stick a ruler in the ground and measure how fast my grass is growing.

Complain, complain, complain. I cooked a nice pot of borracho beans this afternoon. Now I have to wait until they cool down a little before I can eat them.

Did you get food in there or something? I don't think there's usually a need for that. But if there is, there is probably a special object to use.

A couple of days ago I spread some grass seed to help my lawn back to life. I watered it with a spray attachment on my hose, because I couldn't find my good sprinkler. It rained one night and morning, but not a lot. Now that I want it, we're not getting much precipitation.

I finally got home. There are some places reporting possibly 4 to 6 inches of rain. I saw a picture where the water had almost swallowed up a car. :gulp: And more rain is forecast for the weekend. :bug:

Morning. Friday is just like any other day this week, gloomy grey overcast dripping occasional spots of rain on us. At least everything smells fresher :)

...same here. Meanwhile we have are bus stops where car parking is allowed so the bus cannot pull up to the curb which makes it impossible to use the wheelchair ramp or the rear exit door as it is often blocked by a parked car (the rear doors on our buses open outwards).

...and what's up with this site? Suddenly it seems like someone poured a 55 gal. drum of molasses into the servers.

...on the other hand, here it's been a very dry spring after an unusually dry winter. All trees have been in full leaf fro several weeks now. looks (and feels) more like early July rather than the latter half of May. Summer flowers already in bloom. Still 70° in the hood and it's 21:30. Looks like this will be the first Rose Festival since they moved it u[p into the last week of May years ago where it won't be soggy.as 70s & 80s are forecast for the entire coming week.
