what sort of shader type would best suit superhero style boots?

I'm not sure generally what would go best do you think some type of rubber shaders or something else would suit them best? advice pls.

    Depends on how photorealistic you want your image to be.

    If it can be a little on the toony side - because, you know, superheroes - then simply setting Glossy Roughness anywhere between 0.2 (shiny latex) and 0.6 (matte leather/rubber) will probably look decent.

    I also quite like the basic leather shader that comes with the base program. You'll probably have to increase tiling and possibly decrease normals a little. You can easily change it's colour, too.

     I see yes. Is the leather shader that comes with the base program, Iray? :)
