My Windows 8.1 updated yesterday and suddenly Mcafee flagged some SQM exe's wanting internet access. After a bit of digging I found that my settings were set to ON with regards to the ' Customer Experience Improvement Program', where your metrics get sent to Microsoft.
Funny thing is I don't remember having the choice of yes or no, typical Microsoft.
Anyway, found this page with a link to how to turn it off. The link in the last (at the mo) comment by LRancez .
