How to delete a material zone's geometry? *Solved*

Ok, so I have a weird issue.  I'm rendering an object, it's an elephant statue.  It has 2 material zones, the elephant and the stream of water he's shooting from his trunk.  I used the materials section to take the opacity of the water stream to 0, but for some reason the water stream still casts a shadow!  I've never used Geometry Editor before, is there an easy way to just select the material zone and delete the geometry in it?  The shadow is ruining my render (showing across my model's face), so I really need to figure this out, lol!

Yep, the geometry editor will do that easily

...a really nice feature when you need to reduce the geometry/texture load, or ray bounces in an interior scene.  As I understand it was a recent addition.

Use the Geometry Editor to select any part of the stream then right click > Geometry Selection > Select Connected.  The stream should be highlighted.  Right click again >  Geometry Editing > Delete Selected.  There will be a warning.  To be safe you could save the scene as something else before removing the stream.

    Hth.

You're very welcome, @Fae3D; I do it a lot, especially when setting the Cutout Opacity to zero doesn't work cool
