I guess that's why forum mods don't do anything now when I flag a post because someone exposed their email address.
everyone who has ever been moderated has their email address though
I have many emails from them
So do I but I read that to mean that @barbult flagged a user who had exposed his/her own email address (i.e. that user's own email).
Yes, you interpreted correctly. A user in the forum posted their email address. I flagged it with the forum flagging link. Mods didn't remove the email and warn the user like they would have done in the past. I think Wendy was saying that I could have emailed the mods instead of flagging the post, since I do have the moderator email contact from having my posts removed in the past.
Oh, and by the way, i didn't get any notification that you tagged my username in your post. The notification system remains broken.
Ah - just goes to show: I read one right and another wrong. English can be ambiguous.
Marble was right but Barbult is too in that they have the email
I had a bit of a dumb moment in that I did not grasp quite what was meant

i know some forums have an autocomplete option to suggest usernames that start with certain letters.
Well, those forums don't have a server autofail feature to generate automatic "502 bad gateway" errors, so while they may be able to autocomplete their username writing with their fancy software, they'll never know the pleasure of repeatedly being told to "please try again in a few minutes".
