He still has about a half dozen I still want to buy.
I suspect that some content creators were displaced from their places of employment due to COVID layoffs and lockdowns, and turned to creating and selling content for DAZ Studio and Poser. As things openened up and people started going back to work, their content fell by the wayside.
If it's true DAZ bought Rarestone's entire content catalog, would they PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE just make ALL the content available for purchase.
Not to be a Dallas downer but folks do get old and either retire or pass away. When I first started all this CG stuff I was in my early 40's. I'm now 62 with health issues so there's that to consider! We have been loosing wonderful contributers in recent years. There is also the possibility that these folks found better paying gigs!
Store has reopened at Rendo
But remember it's 'Ravenstone' there.
Regards,
Richard
Maybe they'll come back here.
Unlikely. The header on their Renderosity page says they "Are now Exclusively on Renderosity".
Just remember to check your purchases before you buy. I have bought everything I could when it was made available at both stores. You don't want to double-purchase something by accident.
I previously purchased Kayla & Alisa, and they're not back online anywhere yet. Judy is another one still to come back.
I was lucky to get Kayla. Have you written Rarestone at Rendo. I see the Kayla hair only.
This one makes it a lot easier to check:

I have looked at it a number of times but I keep running up against my ignorance of software and some of the basic things so many of folks here have been taught in school growing up about computers. I am always afraid I will do something to destroy my systems.
You're thinking of virus?
More of destroying file structures or programs. I am really freaked about my ability to do that. I read the instructions and find I feel at a loss.
This is not just this program, so often folks offer help to resolve problems assuming a certain level of computer programming skill/knowledge. I see the words, I may understand them, but I can't see what is meant in the context of the sentence. I don't have the building blocks that is necessary for some of the explanations. And it also doesn't help I am a visual learner. I have to 'see' it done, then read it, see it and do it. A lot to learn it.
I do appreciate your program, I know you have helped a lot of folks with it.
OK, I understand, I prefer visual instructions, like videos, myself. How about the video tutorial showing how to use the program, does something like that work for you?
Okay, it would help for sure. Thank you.
Mary
Sorry, I didn't express myself clearly. There is already a video tutorial showing how the program works, at the buttom of the webpage (use full screen mode by clicking the expand symbol in the lower right corner of the video player). I was just curious if you had seen it, and if it is any help understanding how to use the program.

Installation of the program is simple, and since it doesn't use an installer and doesn't make any changes to the system, it really can't break anything. If you have a secondary drive you just create a folder on that drive, like "D:\DAZ-Rendo Product Checker" or whatever. Otherwise create the folder on your system drive. Then put the downloaded install file in that folder and unzip the content, and run the .exe file. That's it.
If you use Windows 11, or a fully updated Windows 10, it should work right out of the box. Otherwise, you can install the WebView2 Runtime from the link on the webpage.
I'm not trying to pressure you into trying the program in any way, but you said you'd looked at it several times, so it sounds like you were interested in it but couldn't figure out how to install and use it. But if you're not interested, that's perfectly fine with me. Not everything works for everyone. In any case, if you decide to give it a try you can always PM me if you run into problems or have questions.
Thank you Taoz, you have been very patient with me.
No problem!
