this is a lot of reading and i am running late for work but i thought i would ask anyway, I have the plus as well as the XL streamdeck and am wondering if there are any delgato scripts/profiles that will allow for me to utilized the rotary knobs for adjust morphs and transitions? I have nerve damage in my right arm and am right handed so using the mouse on the sliders is very difficult even when setting the nudge for accute movements in a figure. using a rotary knob would be much easier for me.
Hey there! Sorry for the delayed response, but I'm not as active in Daz as I once was.
I'm just noticing that the current version of both plug-ins don't seem to be working at the moment, which really sucks. I'm not sure if the guy I worked with four years ago is interested in looking at his end and with Daz 2025 coming it will probably require a rework.
So, now to solutions:
Right now, they all depend on using the basic Stream Deck Hotkey Action for the dial. This will allow you to assign a keyboard shortcut to the dials for Clockwise, Counter-Clockwise, and Press-Down. (I never really realised the dial was also a button!). As for what to assign there are two options I'm aware of:
FlexiKeys: An extremely cool, but also extremely expensive, suite of keyboard shortcuts. They're prewritten and pre-assigned. I'm sure it goes on sale occassionally, but my Daz Deals plug-in browser plug-in doesn't go back far enough. After installing you just asign the arrow keys or shift-arrow keys to the Stream Deck's Hotkey Action on the appropriate dials. Haven't figrued out what to do with the press, but I guess you could use it for something. Maybe set to zero?
Old Scripts: I found these on ShareCG before it went under. I couldn't find them there, so I just zipped the folder from my library. Each of them are in plain text, you can open and read them with notepad by right clicking and choosing Open With. You can also open them from the Daz Script Editor tab. They serve a similar purpose but you'll have to right click on each, Assign a Custom Action, and then go into Customize (F3)... and assign a shortcut. It's cheaper but more work and ony does rotations. The zip file (should be/is) at the bottom. No password or encryption.
I hope that helps. If I can be of any further help, let me know. I'll try to check the forum more often or figure out how to send email notifications when I get a post/DM.
I doubt I'll work on the direct plug-in until after Daz2025. Hopefully the SDK will be updated enough for me to understand it and do the whole thing by myself.
Found another solution here: https://github.com/ibrahim-humadi/StreamDeck-Addons
He basically automated the second solution above, making it easier. I haven't had a chance to try it, but I'll edit/update if I do. He also has a pretty long list of handy scripts on his GitHub in another repository.
