Exporting multiple objects as a single prop

Hi folks.

I am sure there is a correct way to do this and I am just missing it.

I have a picture that I have placed onto a plane primitive. I want it to be mounted wall art in a scene, so I used 4 cube primitives to turn into the 4 sides of the picture frame, and shaded them with a wood shader. It looks great. I then parented all the frame edges to the plane primitive. Now the picture all moves together, all good so far.

But then if I try to export it as say a prop asset, only the picture (or whatever I have selected) is saved, not the frame edges. I know I can save them as a "scene subset" but is there some way I can also just save them as one single prop?

You could use the Geometry Edit tool to rename the surfaces on each part to be unique, make sure anything else in the scene was hidden, export as OBJ, then reimport (being careful to use the same preset in and out) - that would weld the items together.
