3D Printing and Breakage

I have been searching the 3D Print pages for a breakage policy.
I can not find it.
So if I order a $35 figure and it comes with a leg broken off, are they going to send me a new one or tell me to super glue it??

I recently received the promo "Victoria In Action" figure as a participant in their "daz3dprinting" campaign. It was in perfect condition.

We were told if anything was broken to use liquid super-glue to repair. However, we did not have to pay for the figure.

My 6-inch figure arrived packed carefully in large bubble-wrap in an 8x8x8-inch box via snail mail. I suspect damaged figures will be the exception. And if your figure does arrive damaged, file a claim with USPS. You know DAZ isn't going to ship it if it's already broken.

...there have been a number of people receiving broken figures. I think USPS is not the best choice myself (no tracking) but then I used to work in the warehouse/shipping business where I witnessed both UPS and FedEx drivers treating packages rather carelessly at times when they were in hurry to get to the airport processing centre across town.

Filing a damage/insurance claim with any shipper can be a real pain in the bum to get the full value of what was damaged.

I personally have little issue with items I order from Newegg, but then, I insure my shipment and I'm right up the coast from them instead of across the continent (or overseas). So via ground service it usually arrives in about two to three business days from when I placed the order and it comes pretty much direct, instead of being flown halfway across the country to a central processing hub and back again.

For paid for figures, hopefully Daz offers shipping options other than just USPS, and packs them more securely. Not about to plop down say 60 - 75$ for a custom figure of my namesake KK or Leela only to open the box and find it broken.

    USPS provides tracking.

    USPS provides tracking.

That depends on the service selected. Priority, certified, and registered all include tracking in the price or for an additional fee it can be added to other services. I don't know how DAZ will ship paid for figures but my V6 figurine was shipped first class with no tracking. Also I don't know if DAZ will ship insured but if they up the service to priority $50 insurance is included.

Are you sure that DAZ didn't send these with tracking? Since there were no sales or receipts or anything like that the tracking would have no where to be transparent for the people receiving them. That does not mean they didn't have them. Purchasing tracking can be deeply discounted/free for some types of business accounts with USPS as well.

No, I'm not 100% sure; but I remember it was First Class rather than Priority and I don't remember seeing any tracking barcodes on the label.

I'm just looking for the official word.
It seems there were more than a few problems with broken hands on the free gift.
    That's ok ... it is a gift! :)

But now we are talking $35 and for some customers, like myself, we are also talking International shipping and customs.
"Just super glue it back together" is not an acceptable answer for me.
I will take a pass on the whole 3D Printing deal, if that is the case.

The figures were sent USPS first class with tracking -- the bar code's on the bottom of the label.

Mine came marked FedEx! Broken in two places, but I don't really care since I didn't order it or pay for it.

Submit a ticket to CS and see what response you get. It's really the only way you'll know one way or the other.
