Clarification on what "extra" 50% off means?
Hello,
I need a little help on just what Daz means when they advertize an "extra" discount.
I get that some discounts apply off full price items, but the "extra" would seem to incicate a discount off the discounted price. For instance, with the current sale wrapping up:
"50% OFF¥ Featured Artist Stores
Get 60% OFF¥* when you buy any 2+ Items"
and then:
"Get an EXTRA 50% OFF* 1 of these items when you buy 2 Debut New Releases"
seems to indicate 60% off list, then 50% off that price.
yet when I add anything (single item) from the linked sale page
the discount only comes up as 60%, with two Debut releases and many other items in the cart.
Daz seems to be somewhat opaque with how to satisfy all of the parameters of some sale items, but is there something I'm missing about exactly what "extra" means?
Erik

From my experience, "extra 50% off" means it's a discount on whatever the current price is. So like yesterday, I picked five items that were already discounted at 50-60% off...and then an additional 50% off that already discounted price. You get the best deal on items that are already heavily discounted.
Correct. If that's not what you get then you should report it in the sales errors thread with a screenshot of your cart.
Sometimes on some elements of a sale, DAZ posts a COUPON CODE that has to be entered to get the discount to be subtracted from the price.
What specifically did you try? I tossed https://www.daz3d.com/ww2-axis-warplanes-bundle in the cart and then two debut new items and it reduced the sale price by a further 50%.
*Though you mention "many other" items in the cart. Is it possible a different item than you were expecting received the extra 50% off?
only in DAZ land would this question have to be asked? I think it depends on what day and what offer. Its difficult to pin down.
Wouldn;t it be simple if they were to say, buy this and get 75% off this with no other requirmeents or mathematics involved?
An extra X% will always mean X% taken off the discounted price - the only complication being if there are absolute (dollar amounts) discounts too.
