When was the exact first launch date of dazstudio 4 to the community?
5 years ago or was it 6, don't remember exactly, it's been a while for sure.
since i made requests about daz fixing problems that are longer as 4 years ago.

DS 4.0 was released in 2011, around summer. So no, it wan't 5 or 6 years ago...
edit: corrected, I initially mistyped 2012...
Daz launched first Genesis around june 2011 so studio 4 was for sure available in 2011.
Genesis was launched at the same time as the public beta of DS4 - I'm not sure when it stopped being beta, however. It's worth remembering, however, that DS doesn't need to have a headline "new version" at regular intervals the way a paid for application does, and that there have been a considerable number of new features added between 4.0 and the current 4.7.
Due to my Product Library, the public release of DAZ Studio 4.0 would be dated on September 28th, 2011. I remember I ordered it the day it showed up at the shop while still getting used to DS3. Can't say anything about the beta, though.
For me it's still amazing to see how much software and quality of content have evolved since these days.
Order Date: September 2, 2011 - which was when I bought DAZ Studio 4 Advanced Upgrade ...
I bought the DS4A upgrade on September 4th, but IIRC Standard version was released a bit later than Advanced.
The beta was probably released somewhere in march as I got Autofit Release Candidate on March 29th.
yeah i didn't check my order date, just checked a genesis youtube vid posted in 2011 on daz channel .
but it's 4 years ago, and no huge innovation happen today to the software.
Is only 1 guy developing this program?
the last update was also from november.
i wonder when they gonna fix the IK system and animation section.
Probably. And it's free. I know it frustrating when the problems that bug us the most aren't fixed, but for the money I think it's a great piece of software. It's still easier for me to use than similar software that costs money.
Animation and fixing IK aren't innovations.
I don't it necessarily needs fixing when you can produce animations such as these:

In 4 years we got:
* Improved figures with separate weightmapping
* Revamped ways to do weight mapping for content and creating properties/ERC that streamlined the process.
* ERC based on animation
* Geometry Shells that allow you use an overlay on those figures using a different UV. (M4 or V6 UV Tattoos on M6 skin for example)
* IPR
* Enhancements in the 3Delight rendering engine
* A genesis figure specifically for 3D printing.
* Keyboard navigation through scenes
* Instancing
* ability to set different rendering size parameters from each camera.
* Changes in the interface to separate out the background from the rest of the scene and the rendering panel.
* reading of different file types for textures such hdr, exr, psd
* Geografting
And there's more I missed.
Oh yeah and HD morphs that show detail at render time.
OpenSubD
HD morphs
Aux Viewport and IPR
AoA SSS Shader
Genesis 2 female/male
off the top of my head, I'm sure there have been other biggish things as well as smaller things (like haloless masks on renders) that are useful.
You can also check out the change log in the wiki to see what's been added/fixed. It just shows the changes since 4.5 and it's still a pretty long list for you to read.
My first record of DS4 was this announcement thread in the old Forum:
ETA: Below are the product descriptions from the store a couple of days later... I don't know exactly when it was released generally (i.e. to non-PC Members)
(and yes, I do save an awful lot of ancient stuff! :) )
What huge innovations do you want?
