How would you spend $3 today?

I'm trying to finish off a gift card that has roughly $8 on it. This seems like a really good deal - https://www.daz3d.com/i13-ornate-bathroom-with-morphing-towel-and-poses - a room AND a wearable AND poses for less than $5, specifically 4.59. That leaves approximately $3.40 left. There sure are a lot of options today.

About all you can manage with $3.40 is a $2.99 PC pack.

  • You could convert it to store credit.

Agree with the store credit suggestion, you might find something for $2.99 here today, but store credit will be available next time you buy something here, and can then be deducted from the total price (after discounts!).

Go to the Store, sort cheapest first. I currently see several products at $1.00

Don't forget to figure in local sales tax, if you have to pay in your area. It eats up my cash/credit all the time.

Yep! That's where I saw all those options. Today, if I go to the shop, no filters, just sorted Price Low to High, 60 items per page, the first 50 pages are $2.99 or less. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations to help narrow it down.

Thanks for the heads up. Fortunately, I just checked the receipts of my recent purchases and the tax on all of them is listed as $0.00

I would grab anything I didn't have that is in that grouping by Darwins Mishap(s). Those are steals.

EDIT: Forgot the R and (s)  in Darwins Mishap(s)

     Oops, double post...

EDIT: Well, maybe exception being the Lillyanna child one by Darwins Mishap(s) if you don't have the Growing up product.

If you like fantasy/horror maybe these eyes if you haven't got them. I grabbed these when they were at 1.99 just haven't downloaded/installed yet.

I wasn't going to get anything else but I might grab this:

    https://www.daz3d.com/patty-for-star-2-0

    and maybe this:

    https://www.daz3d.com/grutilda-for-genesis-3-female-and-genevieve-7

  • note the OP is not PC+ so the prices you see are different to what they can get

Thanks for the suggestions, Pixel8ted! I do like that Grutilda character. Might even go for the interactive license, too.

You could convert it to store credit.

You guys are right. Instead of buying stuff just because it's cheap on sale and fits into my residual gift card balance. Instead, I should convert my residual balances into store credit and use it towards things I actually want. . I did find something myself as I was digging through [Resources and Add-ons]. https://www.daz3d.com/rim-projection-and-high-key-studio-bundle This bundle seems to have rim lighting, high lighting and image projection lighting. And it's only 2.99 right now. Being there also brought me to this bundle - https://www.daz3d.com/idl-studio-bundle-studio-noir-exp-1-and-2 - which is not under $3 but is still a good deal.

The title sounded like this was going to be one of those moral or psychological questions like...
"There is a school bus full of puppies and a moving van full of kittens stalled on some railroad tracks and a train is approaching fast, you can only save $3 worth of puppies or kittens... Which one would you chose?".

I never like them because it's always an impossible choice... At least with this it's just a gift card...

    Unless...

The $3 could be a metaphor...

What if the OP is an alien testing the cleverness and ingenuity of humanity to see if we are ready to join the galactic federation (or whatever it's called these days)....?

They've only made eight posts so far... it seems quite possible, that's about the number of posts aliens usually make at the forums before they start testing humanity...

I'm not getting involved in this question though... my answer to the puppies and kittens question is usually to derail the train, which apparently is not an acceptable answer.

    Good luck people... choose wisely.

Careful, those are for Poser, NOT for Daz Studio, even less for iray rendering. It might be possible to get them to work somehow, or to learn some things from how it sets things up, but as far as I know, they're not directly useful for out-of-the-box iray rendering.

I've always quite liked Marieke for Charlotte 8, who's on sale for $2.99 today.
