Are ASL files compatible with Non-Adobe such as Corel PaintShop?

Layer files...for example, in Ron's Light Fusion.

I am anti-subscription (for software) and therefore, Anti-Adobe. Instead, I use Corel PaintShop Pro.

PSBs are compatible. Are ASL files also compatible in other photo editors?

To make up for my dopey first answer (I'm under the influence of prescription cough meds from the flu, that's my excuse haha), I researched this and found that no, .asl files can't be used in Paintshop Pro. Apparently they are called ASL for "Adobe" "Style" "Layers" and can't be used in other software. However, I use them all the time in Photoshop Elements, which is not sold via subscription, and is relatively inexpensive. Elements may not have as many features as PS, but it's a pretty robust program nonetheless, and I prefer it to PaintShop Pro. Hope this time my answer helps.
