Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to pay our final respects to this post. It was a good post which brought much joy to its friends and family. A post that was well respected in its community. A loving, giving, caring post and now it is no more. And though the post may be gone it will live on forever in our hearts and minds.

Let us each now take a moment to reflect upon what this post has meant to us.

'E's not pinin'! 'E's passed on! This post is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker!
'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'im to the perch 'e'd be pushing up the daisies!
'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig!
'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!!
THIS IS AN EX-POST (facto) !! (apologies to Monty Python group)

I had this phenomenon (as shown in the image above) explained to me once. Since the South Pole is at the bottom of the Earth, gravity makes excess pressure in the water and it squeezes plankton and similar sea things so much that they congeal and pop out of the water as penguins. 8-O

Come to think of it, are we sure of how this post died?
I wonder if it was post traumatic stress syndrome? Perhaps someone should do a post mortem.

If you are afraid that your post is not really dead but just in a very deep coma you can send it to a funeral home that appears to be accommodating to the situation. Signs in and around the facility appear to ask "Am I Gone?" Which might be a comfort when the nearly departed arises and sees the sign.
