The Documentation Center (Wiki) is already an archive, it lists the removed products.
It should be improved and it would be nice if the Gallery could archive the promo images, a Product Gallery.
I agree Daz Studio metadata is poor, the Daz3D Shop provide a little more infos.
Sadly Daz team and the vendors aren't good at managing metadata, maybe another site managed by the customers like a fandom could be better and it could include the products of the other shops.
Not very likely under the current circumstances I'm afraid, but Microsoft is improving their cross-platform support constantly so I might consider it at some point in the future. I have a list of Mac users who have asked the same question, you can send me a PM if you want to be added, then you'll be informed if I should begin making DS related stuff for MacOs.
Note btw that if you run the program on Win10 Virtual Machine but DS on MacOs the integration with the DS product library probably won't work which means you can't use one of the IMO most useful features.
Okayy, thank you, I'l PM you later.
On Windows I also have an installation of DAZ that uses the same library directories as the MacOS one, so its content database is up-to-date with my purchases, then this shouldn't be a problem, while your software relys on it. I'll just have to do my searches on Windows and once I found what I wanted recall the item and use it in the MacOS version.

I was more thinking of the "Locate product in DS library" feature which requires that DS is on the same system as the program (so it should work on your Windows DS at least). But at least it will show you the library paths for the product which are the same on the Mac as I understand.
Are there any kind of data sharing systems between Windows and MacOs, like shared clipboard, or an API or something?

Not a system specialist, but as far as I know at least a clipboard is shared between MacOS and Windows. The Win Daz has its own database in the virtualized machine, but since the contents reside on an external drive that is shared between the OSes, the item location identified by your software will be the same for bot the versions of Daz.

OK. I've got an idea that possibly might make things a bit easier, will PM you about it tomorrow.
Showing my age a bit, but marketplace products used to all come with a handy .htm read-me file. They were always nice to be able to reference if you forgot things, like what folder had MAT poses for instance. That was waaaayyy back, when MetaCreations still owned Poser.
I would strongly prefer it if the store did the same as Renderosity and kept the pages of no-longer-available products. Like others, I often use the store to reference or search for certain products, as it is far easier than doing so in DS for the reasons already stated in this thread.
