Slightly OT--Jumpy video

This is a little off-topic, but I was looking at the animation forum and went to a link at vimeo to watch a video. I've linked to vimeo from other sites as well, or watched embedded videos on those sites. Every time the video is "jumpy", moving back and forth and stuttering like a Max Headroom monologue.

I'm using the latest Firefox. Anybody know what could be causing this? Other videos, eg, Youtube, show no problems whatsoever, it seems to be limited to Vimeo.
