Hi would anyone have a link for a a tutorial free or to purchase to create boots and shoes? I am wanting one to create in Silo or Hexagon and Daz Studio. I don't own poser so if its done for Poser it won't help me. I would really like a complete tutorial that starts with modelling right through to a completed model that is textured and includes packaging. I am slowly learning all the bits and pieces of creating a model, but a list of the steps to follow from beginning to end would be awesome.

Fugazi has several in his Digital Cobbler series over at Rendo. He uses Silo in them.
Fugazi's tutorial will teach you how to make the boots/Shoes but they are aimed at Poser users. There is a tutorial on ShareCG which will help with rigging heeled boots etc in Daz. It is very good and I've used it several times.

I did see the digital cobbler for shoes but then it goes into poser for rigging :( I was hoping to find a complete one for DS. Maybe in the near future Fugazi will do one for DS also
thanks for the link wilmap, I will check that one out this afternoon :)
EZhexagon has a couple of videos on making shoes in Hexagon........plus videos on lacing, clothes etc. in other software as well, useful information. Here's the link for his channel on You tube.......just scroll down til you find the shoe tuts :)

Thank you very much for that link Aave...I have found several very helpful videos on his channel now altho I have noticed that either he doesn't finish them completely or I can't find a continuation of the tutorial.
Unfortunately every tutorial I have found including the ones I paid for from Digital Cobbler/Digital Tailor are often incomplete. You have to take the bits and pieces you find and patch them all together to achieve the goal. If I run into any other good tuts I'll post them here as well.
When it comes to modeling shoes they way I do them is trial and error. The topology is definitely more difficult to put together than it is for clothing I´d say. But I haven´t modeled that many.
I modeled my second pair of high heeled shoes just recently. Cant wait to do some proper renders : )
Unfortunately I didn´t find any tutorials about how to model shoes. I just experimented and was hoping to improve with every new creation.

I have discovered that too, and I now have aquired several tutorialss on different areas of modeling from start to finish, I just need to find more detail on on each of those parts :) Any links to more info is always welcome, thank you . Just curious to know what programs do you use to model your beautiful dresses?
Toyen would love to see some of your renders when they are ready :) I have been trying the trial and error method too so far and it has become lots of error and little progress LoL :)
I will post them on my thread here on the forums and on my deviantart as well once they´re ready.
I´m quite happy with the overall shape but the thing I still struggle with is the polygon count.
In one area I wanted to have a higher polygon count for a style morph but then it resulted in a lot of unnecessary polygons on the sole as well. So I gotta watch out for that next time : )
I´d love to see your progress in shoe modeling as well! Feel free to post any screenshots you might have!
