Change the color of the working area background

I don't like to work with a blue background—I want to set it to a medium gray. But the environment panel background only seems to impact the render area. Is there a way to set the working area to another color?

Window > Style > Customize Colors, first option is background color.

It's the last option, viewport colour, that you want.
