I have a imac 27 + Yosemite and installed Poser 10.
I have tried to install the DSON 32 bit importer (through the DAZ Install manager) and getting the following error:

Install Manager cannot find a required path. The package for "DSON Importer for Poser (Mac 32-bit)" requires that the installed path for "Poser Pro 2014, 10, Pro 2012, 9 (32-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again.

How do i correct this? and get the DSON importer properly installed.

In DAZ Install Manager, click the gear icon (Settings) in the upper right corner. Click on the Applications tab. Then click the plus sign in the lower left to add an application. Set Name to Poser and select the version and bit depth, then click the ... button at the right of the Path field to browse to the location of poser.exe or poserpro.exe, for example "C:\Program Files\Smith Micro\Poser 10". Click Accept and then you will be able to install DSON Importer.

Install fails? Install appears to work but you get an error loading the content? Which version of Poser?

From "Install Manager" ver 1.1.064 I cannot install DSON.Computer always reply :
Install Manager cannot find a required path. The package for "DSON Importer for Poser (Win 64-bit)" requires that the installed path for "Poser Pro 2014, Pro 2012 (64-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again.

    I tried to add "C:/Program Files/Smith Micro/Poser 11" (directory where poser.exe is) it doesn't change anything :(

You need to go into preferences (click the gear icon at top-right) and in the Applications tab click the + button to add a new applciation. Set it to Poser 11 64 bit, then click the ... button to set the path to C:/Program Files/Smith Micro/Poser 11

For the record, I encountered a similar issue when I attempted to install the DSON Importer into Poser 11 Pro.  (I did not use DIM to do the install, since I prefer to install applications and plug-ins myself.  Yeah, I'm a bit of a control freak; what's your point?)

The one thing I did differently was to download the latest version of the DSON Importer; it was 1.2.0.12 when all this happened.  I haven't checked the current release version of DSON Importer recently, so I cannot aver with any certainty that there is not a more recent version available.

But that would be my own first suggestion: make sure you have the latest version....

  • I have done the Trick it just doesnt work!

What version of Poser?  What error message are you getting?

Can you go to Settings (gear in upper right corner in DIM) > Applications and post a screenshot?

  • Same error here.. .path its right.

    Anyone has solved this?

  • Same with me, its bullcrap that i dont have poser pro stuff and a morph because i need the genesis morph and its only for pay and not free! They should have installed a morph tool in daz studio program to make things simple and not complicated.

  • Same here. I have the correct path set to Poser 11, but DIM requires the path to be to either Poser Pro 2014 or 2012.
