Exporting dForce hair takes Ages and The Result is not Even great

July 2021 in Unity Discussion

Im using the Built-in pipeline and I am trying to export a dForce dress. Someone said in one of the threads that if you set the Preview Hair ON it woud conert it to OBJ file and be easy to convert and export. Ideally i want to export my character with the dForce hair on, but for now i'm even trying just the hair byitself because it takes so long . I set the Preview to On and tesselation to 2 .   In Unity , dForce doesn't even work(the simulation doesn't) so , i'm not xpecting to have real hair movement or anything so i dont care if the hair is just a mesh. So why it takes so much time to  export it?

Are there any techniques to make it  faster to export dForce hair and Also  is there a way to make the hair look good in Unity instead of look like just transparent pixelation over the scalp(almost nothing that looks like hair).

Why bother with dForce hair, if the result is not great. There are many, many hair at Daz, that will work well with Unity.

I just test one by one and decide, if it is worth to use particular hair in Unity or not. Aprylish hair are usually work well in Unity.

There is no warranty, that any asset from Daz will work in Unity. It is up to the user, to discover if particular item works in Unity.
