Very nice scene and a choise of colour palette! What was the filter for such a painterly look?

    Thanks Vyusur !!!

    3 filters applied

Topaz Adjust 5 - Crisp - to bring out the details

Topaz Adjust 5 - Color Blast - to bring out the colours

Topaz Studio V1 - Impression Workflow - for the painterly look

    Another 3 step process.

First of all into Topaz Adjust and applied the Crisp filter

Next duplicated that and took it into Filter Forge and applied the Chinaware filter

Then duplicated the Chinaware image and took it into PhotoDonut and applied the Graphic Arts - All I Want 04 filter

Sent that back to PSP and made it about 75% transparent to the Chinaware image

This has a distinctive feel that I like - something a bit different in many ways, but consistent in your domain, and a nice impact - almost a John Pitre or Frezatta (sp?) oils/lighting thing.

The recent couch potato vicki effect rings for me as well - again, all images make for an ongoing intriguing gallery tour, but some really stand out to my eye and my own search for a 'look' for one reason or another. Thanks for sharing, as I look forward to the next batch when I stop in to catch up on things, as your breadth of exploration really expand the window of possibilities one can consider and pursue.

headwax, your pope image strikes me in the oddest and also-intriguing way. It's 'not quite' in multiple ways, and for that reason all-the-more interesting. My eye wants it to be more of something in multiple domains - the render, the resolution/lines, the color saturation, the watercolor-effect... - all of the elements of this particular shot seem somehow 'not quite' in an uncanny-valley sort of way, but ... I can't stop looking at it. It's an interesting image in-itself - (that ambiguous expression!), so it's not like it's flawed (your posts are consistently brilliant) or anything like that - it's just kind of impressionistic and kind of real, and kind of stylized, and kind of literal, and ... bravo - I just can't articulate exactly why. And it works really well in this thread. To wit, I would save that formula and keep it handy in your toolkit, as it really works well.

    best to you both,
