Can't delete property sliders

I created two custom property sliders, "Claws Left" and "Claws Right", then decided their names weren't descriptive enough. So I went into their parameter settings and changed their names to "Claws Left Open/Close" and "Claws Right Open/Close". When I confirmed the changes, it created two new sliders, instead of changing the original ones. Weird. So I thought, "whatever, I'll just delete the old ones". I delete them, and it looks like it works, so I save the figure. However, when I reload the figure, there they are again. What am I doing wrong? I've tried deleting them in both edit mode and not, and neither works. I've also tried deleting both the old and the new, but that doesn't work either.

I've had this problem. Have you tried deleting them from the Data folder?
