Transparent materials are blank. Do you know how to solve it?

Hi to everybody.

First of all, excuse me if this was already posted it, but i can't find it.

I am trying to export a glass of whisky with ice, with the daz to unreal bridge, but the materials are all blank. It happens everytime that the material is transparent. In this case we have the glass, the ice, and the whisky, the three of them are blank, so i don't have any proper material for this one.

Anybody knows how to solve it?

Thanks in advance.

Go to the Unreal store and find Unreal materials that do the job.

  • I got a different problem

I exported an asset, the Steam Punk Lost House, worked pretty good. I'm just missing one setting- the Glass Map that is a transparency texture for dirty windows, isnt transparent. I'm sure its just one setting, but I'm not sure which one. Any ideas?

The imported texture doesnt have an alpha- would thaty be it?

Easy for the glass, not so easy for the ice.

Can you post a screenshot of the material inside Unreal? It's hard to know whether it's a simple material setting, or a material is missing from the description.

  • Sometimes my code can't figure out if the material was supposed to be transparent.  You may need to go to the Parent Material for the Material Instance and change it to BaseAlpha (or something like that, I don't remember the exact name off hand).
