After having done Reality 2.5 for 2 years tested R4 when it came out with different types of lights and Gen. 4-6 figures.
Decided to stress test it (and D|S 4.6) with 5 HD (Lilith, Olympia, Felicity, Mei Lin, and Gia with Vicky HD morphs) figures and Jack Tomalin's Cliffhanger :-P
Very nice render, Wendy. The fur looks very good.
Have you tried to transfer any of Daz characters to iClone 6 via 3DXchange yet?
I just drag and drop them in from my iC5 content as once in iC6 and modified they cannot go back
this one for instance with displacement added can only be used in iC6 now
And nice image Kam. Impressed that you didn't have to do any post work. But a little stymied as to why it took so long to render.
That is actually one of the main reasons i choose to use unbiased renderers, to keep from doing postwork in most cases, not a fan of it and I love the satisfaction of setting up the scene to let the renderer do all the work.. As for the time, i usually let mine run overnight, so not to far off from the 16 hr mark. Agreed, really nice image!
TY all is OR4C BTW I replaced all HFarkes carrara trees with Merlins from Windmill set as it really seems to hate carrara trees on my system
redid meadow shaders as simple colours too
It is good, isn't it! Great work on the lake, nice movement of the water surface and camera moves, all very relaxing!
OR4C is without a doubt an awesome product - and a lot of fun too!! Great movie Wendy, I really like how you got the leaves to float on top of the water. How did you do that?

Howie did that
surface replicator
This is probably my most complex project with the Octane render plugin for Carrara yet (though definitely not as complex as Wendy and Rashad have done). Everything was done in Carrara, including the text, and rendered in Octane. The only work done in post was a very slight adjustment to levels in Gimp.

more original! and creative
I am just plonking in substitute trees and rendering to see what it handles

Hopefully a few more people will pop into the thread and post some more images.
In the mean time, I'll post a render I just finished.
This one was done with DS>Reality 4>LuxRender. This was a minimal set up render just to do a quick comparison of Lux and 3Delight (for another thread). I liked the Reality 4>Lux material results so much that I thought I'd fix a couple of minor issues and re-render it. I didn't change the skin at all except for the lips, which needed the bump reduced. I also had to fix the Cornea which was black, adjust the bump on the swim suit, fix the mats/shaders on the earings, and fix the hands from the default pose because the fingers were intersecting. The skin used was from Charlie for Genesis 2 (http://www.daz3d.com/hot-mess-bundle), and I used a standard 3 point light set up
This did remind me why I don't use Lux much - the render times are really slow compared to 3Delight and Octane.
Still looks rather grainy even after all that time, and I almost missed the figure beneath the monster as she is rather lost in shadow. I would try making your lights a lot stronger (and reduce the exposure if needed to compensate) - most unbiased renderers like to have lots of light to work with. Or add a mesh light or two.
The white line is likely a very small gap in the mesh where the background is showing through. Try putting a black plane just beneath the floor and that should block any light getting through.

Lots of great renders here :cheese:

In an attempt to resuscitate the thread... here is my latest creation. DS > Reality 4 > Luxrender > Photoshop
A wonderful and magical image!
I'll add another
Rendered in Blender's Cycles. Only postwork is he watermark.
Probably my favorite render yet. Less technical setup than my Bouguereau styled one, but the pose and lighting are far more fun.
It did take forever to render: roughly 16 hours. The original is quite huge 1800x3332.
A wonderful and magical image!
Thank you!

started an animation
my camera plowed in to the meadow
is this depth of field?
Great DOF shot Wendy. Looks like a photograph.
Wendy - I'm not sure the others got the joke- but I did! (Great images by the way!)

Thanks everyone for posting even more really outstanding renders!!
@Wendy great work with replicators (and the renders too), nice to know those products play nice with Carrara and Octane!
Another Carrara/Octane render with G2F done while working on skin shaders. Sorry for the off site link, warning - nudity!

Definitely a major "stress test", a lot going on in it - how long did it take to render?
Great low light render! How long (s/p) did you have to let it render to get it to clear up?
Awesome - another cycles render! Great dramatic lighting. Was is done with Cycles CPU or GPU?
Hopefully a few more people will pop into the thread and post some more images.

It might be slow but it is a quality result!
Thanks Phil!
It's definitely the results combined with the ease of set up for materials/shaders and lights that keeps me using unbiased renderers.
Not really satisfied with this one
render time = 40 hrs
Don't know where bright white line in floor came from

I have not used Reality much but thought you could adjust lighting as it renders without interupting it.
