I recently upgraded from 4.6 to 4.7. I'm having trouble finding part of the render settings. I found it once and lost it. Please help. Thanks.

It's now on the Advanced tab as a pull-down for Renderer.

I still can't find it. I just want to be able to do a quick temporary render.

Its actually on both the Editor and Advanced tabs, first line labeled "Engine" -- Basic OpenGL is the equivalent of "1" on the old pane.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I still don't have that one part. The rest is ok. Maybe it will magically appear again some day.

You need to enable the Hidden Settings - Under The Render Tab click on the little box with the horizontal lines on it and select Show Hidden Properties , you should then be able to select between Default and Cartoon shader.

    See screen shots

Hope this is of some help.

What are you rendering? Only the DAZ Default Shader will be affected by the setting.

Having the same problem, It seems to work with V4.2 & M4 but not with Genesis or Genesis 2

The default G2F certainly doesn't use the DAZ Default Shader, presumably neither do two of your other three characters. If you select a surface, either with the Surface Selection Tool or in the Surface pane list, the shader used will be listed at top-left.
