What is the closest commercial product for this hair ?

PP Posts: 36

Hello all,

I'm not often asking but I'm really lost. I've looked over hundred of hair but can't find something that is close to this (see pictures).

What I am especially after are

- one side long straight and the hair coming from the other side

- color nuances (dyied)

Thanks a lot in advance for suggestion, I'm happy to buy and try anything .

Cheers,

Paula

Absolute beginner :-)

It's a bit more full than the hair you have, but this is similar:

https://www.daz3d.com/claudia-hair-for-genesis-3-and-8-females and there are different mixes here https://www.daz3d.com/oot-hairblending-20-texture-xpansion-for-claudia-hair

Thank  you all but it's getting close but not enough !! crying

    Biscuits hair are too curly.

Monica : I've tried but the long site is too curly too.

Caludia : too curly and volume

Soft Classic Hair : I've tied too but this doesn't give the result I want...maybe I should try a bit more.

    Any other idea ??

    Thanks

  • Emma and Jordi have some nice hairs, IMO.

Liberty hair has a removable hat (with hat morphs, which are also useful if you want to use other hats).

This hair should be able to do what you want, but getting it to do so would require more than a beginner knowledge of dForce and creating your own starting morphs - https://www.daz3d.com/classic-long-hair-with-dforce-for-genesis-8-females

And in regards to the Biscuits hair, you can tweak the dForce settings to reduce the waves. I always up the gravity on any dForce hair I use because almost all have too much volume.

I've been trying to get my hair to do what I want for twenty-eight years now without any luck. Why should 3D hair be any different?

I wanted to suggest this hair, but changed my mind. It could be a frustrating experience for a beginner. Reasons: - 1. it's strand based - 2. with default settings, it really slows down viewport - 3. it doesn't work on Genesis 8.1 without editing some parameters (Sorry for the lack of paragraphs. I can't make them work on my phone)

dForce Romeo Hair for Genesis 8 | Daz 3D ?

Surprisingly, I find it pretty easy - and I'm far from a Daz expert.  To get it to work on 8.1 female simply select G8 male in the conversion dialogue box, that seems to work fine.  I haven't found that it slows down viewport - but then I just use a texture shaded viewport.  I think this hair always produces excellent results.  Your mileage may vary of course...

For specific hair color needs, you should look at hair shaders. Many of them let you blend two colors.
