On the other hand, sometimes diplomacy DOES work...
Fun! Looks like a good one.

"And there it was, my latest assignment in the Ambassadorial corps. I was to meet with the Agrafarians to discuss a heated trade agreement. I wasn't worried, however, because I have one of the best tailors in the galaxy, and when you look good, you can't help but be confident!"
Cowboy diplomacy? Looks excellent Val!
Well then, If I had Lee6 now, I'd be looking for the buy-now button, lol. Can I at least add this to my wishlist now, lol. (half joking)
That is a fantastic looking outfit, that may very well work on non-space themes. Very nice.
I almost see an LOTR Elvin guard style in the no-texture renders. And a 1980's style trek (Wrath Of Khan) uniform.
How friendly are the zones to swapping out the textures for tiled mats/shaders?
(EDIT)
I spaced it, I do have a G2M. How dose this fit Brodie6?

Wasn't thinking G2M, as that was for the Christmas elves bundle.
(EDIT2)
Never mind, I'll find out as soon as it gets to DIM.
Love your products! And that pic gave me a good laugh this morning.
One quick question, what was the model those cool lizardman in the pic? Was is a G2 morph or DAZ dragon or something else?

It was my Reptillian for Genesis... http://www.daz3d.com/reptillian-for-genesis For Genesis 1.
Rest assured y'all. This outfit works flawlessly with Jayce, Brodie, and Peppermint .
I wish I could say using the Night Elves Bow on G2M was just as smooth.
Unfortunately, sometimes Diplomacy requires intense negotiations to resolve the issue.
(Edit, worked on the lights a tad.) (EDIT2 00:45utc, LQ final draft, HQ is in 'MyDaz Gallery')
Grabbed mine! Now I have to go reread some Keith Laumer... ;-)

Retief of the CDT was my first thought. In the shopping cart.
Question: Is there movement to the sash where it hangs down and is the sash removable?
Good question, and surprisingly, I'm not seeing bones for the hanging belt strands.
The belt, Cuffs and Tabard load as a single unit, and there is a surface zone for each. So at least the sash can be replaced with the one with controls from the 'Juryman' outfit.
Under 'Adjustments' there appears to only be a single 'AdjustFit' slider???
(EDIT)
The boots have three surface zones, including a separate sole zone
The pants and Tunic are just a single surface zone each.
Far better then some complete dress outfits I've come across. One item for everything, one zone for everything, lol.
(Edit2)
"O" don't forget to turn off the gloss/reflection, or you will get that ghost item effect in your renders, lol.

This looks really good!

Ah, thanks! That's getting added to my wishlist until my budget recovers from holiday shopping :)
Nice outfit.
Served to inspire my Christmas Card this year. :)
Nice image DaWaterRat. I like the tin soldier/ballerina. Great job. =-)
Yeah (sorry I'm late), I never expected images like that with this set. Bravo!
And for those who don't have it yet... you have five business days left to get it on sale!
I've just been asked to try to give this outfit a little less 'Over the top' factor, and I didn't realy go over the zones all that well before. So I'm revisiting that.
Here I'm using the 'Zone selection tool' and hovering the courser over the 'Collars' zone on the boots (to highlight where the zone is). It would not be difficult to select this zone and apply another cloth shader to them, and brass gone there. Just about any plane cloth shader would probably do for that.
The Extras on the other hand, lol. Well that is a separate outfit part all together, and without it, the shirt almost looks like a regular sweater. Still the collar may be necessary, just without all that brass.
(Edit)
Well, I set the boot brass area to a reddish-satin, and the Extras to a Blue Satin (Phoebe's Fancy shader stuff, any shader set would do tho). The Sash zone set to 0% Opacity and 100% Glossiness, just to make it disappear. Now I can see what I have for geometry, if the sweater alone is not enough for your needs.
AElflaed's Fancy has more color preset options, tho the textures in the Phoebes set is very nice as well. Both have white, that you can set the color to whatever you want in the surface tab. I particularly like the Satin texture in the Phoebe set, and the "Wool Felted" in the AElflaed's, for stuff like this.
Perfect use for AElflaed'sFancy.. try the black wool on the top and the worn black leather on the boot cuffs.
(Edit)
I thought the pant's had a separate zone for the pockets, looks like that was just in the texture map, hmmm. The Wool was a bit much for the shirt, linen basic tho looks good.
(EDIT2)
Because we all like red-shirts, lol. (the ones that always die first in Trek) All from AElflaed'sFancy (No tiling touched)
Boots. Black leather, trim DarkGray Wool.
Pants, DarkRed Wool.
Shirt (tunic), Linen Basic Red (a tiling of 8x8 looks realy good here)
Extras, DarkGray Wool.
Oh, the poke-threw, is probably because of the figure I chose at random. There all separate parts, so that is easy to fix, even if there is no Actor dials at all (scale in parameters tab). There are fit dials under Actor, so no worries about that.
LOL <3</p>
...........
And here is our 'Red-Shirt" with no 'Extras', no puns intended. The shirt is not that bad.
I played with some colors and textures in Photoshop, erasing some of the metal bits. Turned off the bright highlights on the other metal parts, reduced gloss overall. Turned out quite sharp. I think with some color refinement and maybe a belt this will rock.
I got distracted with a petri dish, and a stone block from a temple scene, lol. Oh, and a security door card reader for a whatever-corder on the belt, lol.
I like this. The base model of this outfit has a strong fantasy feel.
I like the idea of a service oufit being made from it to match the more elite uniform. It certainly could use a texture expansion.
Thanks….and thanks for the great model. It has the right mix of Future-as-envisions-in-1950 that I'm looking for. And texture. So there's visual interest in the fabric in close-up shots.
SereneNight, while I was in a way, hoping for an add-on texture set for this, it looks like the one in the promos is all there is, and I have no clue if anything else is planned for this set. So I guess it is up to crafty people to make them, I'm not one myself.
dkutzera, I could not agree more, even tho this time I used a different texture set.
So, what Sci-fi red-shirt would be complete, without there own Daz Studio Primitive-made hand 'Whatever-azer', lol.
Great image! I like it! has lots of feeling to it, and I like all his gear and I like the gun. Which weapon is that?
(Added a second screen-cap, with a highlighted cube, to hint at how it's assembled)
I like it! Nicely done. You have a talent for making your own stuff which I think is awesome! =-)
