Parenting objects is acting up
in The Commons
I have being using Daz studio for quite a while now, without changing anything or updating anything parenting doesnt work as it used to. It will follow bend but not rotate on a figure.
I have tried loading older scenes with different gen models and its the same everywhere
Is there an options tab somewhere that i dont know about?, i have looked trough the various menus but cant find any option that controls such behaviour.
I have attached some pictures if anyone can help i will really appreciate it!

Shouldn't the guns be parented to the "twist" bones instead of the "bend" bones of the thigh? (the left one looks correct, the right one is parented to the "bend" bone)
Otherwise you're only going to get the "bend" offset.
Thank you for answering!
I tried parenting both to rwist and bend, it really doesnt have any affect, bendi works in either case twist /rotate doesnt and i cvant find anything on the forums similar to what happening .
It didnt really act like this, it just happened. i am very confused as i have made no changes to my daz studio or any kind of updates
Things further down the "tree" should be affected by all those above. So what should happen (but isn't) is that parenting to bend will give you just the bend, and parenting the the twist (next level down) should give bend AND twist. You should basically always parent to twist bones, unless you don't want any twisting.
So, firstly triple check that it really is parented to the twist bone. If you click the arrow to hide items under the twist bone it should not show the guns in the list (the guns should be listed directly under "Right/Left shin"). Maybe unparent everything and start again.
There really isn't any settings that change this behavior. Maybe restart the program to check something hasn't gone bizarre. Or try doing the same thing in a new scene.
