Anyone here have Dell aurora R7?
I have this pc and planning to upgrade from 2x1080 8GB to 1xGigabyte 3090 24GB Turbo and maybe I leave one 1080 inside together with 3090. Psu inside is 850W so it should be ok?

Ok. Answering myself. It is working together with GTX1080. Little noisy but it fit, just power cables are thight
Howdy martin36,
I see really onty 2 things that could case an issue with your setup. The first is physical fit, which you have already determined that it can work. The 3090 is a triple-slot card, with fairly high power requirements. Since you have both the 3090 and the 1080 installed, this tells me that the PCIe slots are more than 3 slots a part, score! The other issue may not creep up under "normal" usage. I have an Aurora R7, with the "upgraded" 850 watt PS, and it is possible that this power supply may not be able to handle the system, 3090 and 1080 at full load, and that would cause crashes, lock-ups and potentially strange behaviour. Other than that, you shold be good to go, as long as your drivers are setup correctly :-). Good luck!

Not really. 3090 Gigabyte Turbo is taking only 2 slots, See attached photos. It is doing job perfectly right now. Max temperature for 3090 is 70 degrees celcius while 1080 is only for monitor connection and reach 40-41 now and I keep my pc inside my desk with space behind and open doors. Just this card is blower type and is noisy. I Feel like I stand nearby waterfall :)
AND There is also problem with space for power cables. I managed eventually fit them somehow but took me 1hr to try as there is fan behind cards and is tick alright.
Howdy martin36,
That is interesting. It looks like only the Founder Edition (nVidia branded) 3090 is a triple slot card, see here: GeForce RTX 3090 Graphics Card | NVIDIA. Makes me wonder what is different between the FE and the the other OEM versions? Perhpas it just has to do with the way the cooler works? Regardless, glad you got it working! Good luck!
