Best printer for comic development? (and maybe tee shirts)

Hi, I have fortunately a budget for a large format printer and I  wanted to ask for feedback on a solid tabloid size printer. I specifically need:

tabloid printing

economical color  inks or toner, ie laser or inkjet with super tank style.

 

I have been looking for a couple day but no black friday sales I could find.

my budget is around $600-$800

 

I have been looking at:

Epson EcoTank ET-15000 Wireless Color All-in-One Cartridge-Free Supertank Inkjet Printer

 

This also is also die sublimation printing capable which would allow tee shirt printing, something I would love to do!

 

Anyone have experiece with this printer?

It's just a regular ink jet printer although with much bigger ink tanks. The Epson website making no claims whatsoever about it being dye sublimation capable though. I own a dye sublimation printer (a Canon Pixma model that cost about $100 14 years ago) that prints snapshot sized pictures and it prints basically by having it's wax dyes on a thin film that gets transferred in 3 passes to the picture medium.

Looking at the specifications for the printer you mention this printer is essentially the same technology so whichever one has the better price and also better price on replacement ink bottles that are actually availble for purchase easily is the one you likely will get more use out of.

Now I actually do have this 2nd one but I've not actually set it up and used it yet as I'm still painting the walls and finishing the floor of the room it will be in. The reviews say it's a very good printer and Canon printers I've bought in the past have been very good and reasonably loud. The Epson printers I've bought have been very loud. Technology changes though so you should read the reviews for both printers. There are complaints about the Canon with regards to WiFi & Setup in the reviews claiming that it is hard to set up the wifi printing connections but personally I plan on having mine on my computer desk beside my monitors and hooking it up directly to my desktop with a usb cable so that won't matter. I do know that some firewall software in modern wifi routers often have to be manually configured to allow through a wifi printer connection to your computer. That would be the same though whether you use Epson or Canon brands.

By the way, with the proper inkjet photo paper an inkjet picture lasts and looks as good as what 99% of the picture print shops do anyway.
