Forums fine in Firefox, but buggy with Chrome and Edge

I get a lot of 400 Bad Request errors with both Chrome and Edge browsers, but Firefox hasn't had any problems.  Anyone else having issues or know if there's an add-on that is the likely culprit?

I have Adblock disabled for the site, and enabling it doesn't appear to make a difference.  Daz Deals is enabled on all my browsers, and disabling it doesn't help, either.

  • 400 errors usually indicate client side issues, not server side. For what's it worth I'm currently using Edge and normally only use Opera (both Chromium based browsers) and I've had no issues at all with the website. Yesterday I also did some browsing using Edge on my smartphone and that too didn't have issues.

Try using in-private mode, this will turn off all plugins and other addons. See what happens then.

You're right.  It does work okay with all extensions turned off.  However, this is new behaviour, so I don't know if something changed with the forums or with an extension.

I'm having some issues with Youtube and AOL using Firefox, I can't reply to comments in youtube, having a bunch of AOL syntex hang errors.   I haven't had any issues with the Daz forums or the daz store with chorme or firefox that could report. using firefox 83.0 (64-bit)

I've had this problem with Chrome, as well.

    Cheers,

I always use firefox, so hadn't noticed.

Which version of Edge? The most recent is based on Chrome, so if you have an older version it may be better.

Forum issue , I can't sign in from my other computer with Google Chrome 87.0.4280.66, the process redirect to this message

    400 Bad Request

Your browser sent an invalid request.

    daz3d.com/forums/entry/connect/jsconnect?client_id=1....

I can write this message thanks to Google Chrome 86.0.4240.198.

Site icons also vanish for weeks when I visit the forums.

Yep, with Chrome it's hit and miss. I've switched to Firefox for Forums when I discovered there were zero problems

I can visit the forums before visiting the shop.

If the shop is visited, I can't go to the forums.

Sounds as though, for some reason, the two software log-ins are not synching for you.  Try making sure that you are logged out on both the store and the forum, then clear your browser cache  and delete the Daz cookies.  close the browser  and then start a new browser session.   This time make sure that you log in  on the Daz Home page   https://www.daz3d.com/

It has a pretty picture to look at while you are logging in.

Private mode gets also this error, the issue still occurs if I use an other account.

The forum is unlocked after several minutes as long as I don't visit the shop again.

It occurs only with Chrome 87, no issue with Chrome 86.
