What are these LEGACY and MIMIC files/ How get rid Poser files

I'm getting a lot of Poser files showing up in my Install Manager Ready to Download column.  How do I stop them from showing up.  I'm also getting files labeled MIMIC and LEGACY.  What are these files?  Do I need to download them?

  • Legacy is for older versions of DS, usually, while Mimic would be configuration fles for using a figure or item with Mimic (to lip-sync from a recording/vocie input). Theya re appearing because of changes to their tags - if you don'r want them select them, right-click>Hide sub-menu>Hide All Selected.

Is there any harm done in simply deleting Legacy files?  I'm running DS 4.14 on my newest laptop and don't plan to install older versions of DS on it.  According to DIM, I have  2.9 Gb of Legacy files.

The zips? No, you can zap those if you wish. At worst you may need to redownload in the (pretty unlikely) event that you need one in future, rather than the non-Legacy version.

  • I am not downloading and installing any "Ps" file, and everything went fine so far.
