How do I fully reset DIM without losing my previous downloads?

At one point I downloaded everything I'd ever bought, that was a few hard drives ago. I recently installed this drive, after DIM had a hiccup and had lost its install data and thus been downloading to the wrong directory anyway, and moved all of my recent purchases to the same folder and pointed DIM to the new old folder. Now, nothing shows as ready to download, and only some files show up in ready to install. Before I did this, I uninstalled everything via DIM, uninstalled and reinstalled DAZ Studio 4. How do I make it see the zip and dsx files in the directory, with the rest of my purchases still available for download?

Go to the Manifest Archive (Settings (gear icon in upper right corner) > Basic Settings will give you the location) and move all the files in it elsewhere -- or delete them, if you're sure you won't need them.  Then DIM will see everything as uninstalled.

That doesn't make anything appear in Ready to Download. Nothing shows up in any of the columns. Edit: It's fixed now. I'm not sure why, as I had already cleared all directories of files, uininstalled and reinstalled more than once. I am guessing it was a server-side hiccup.

Does this solution would also check if every order one took is in fact installed?! I wonder if there is a way to do that. But thanks for this solution, i was also looking for a way sometimes to "refresh" the DIM if something just not really work out sometimes.

The files in the ManifestFiles folder keep track of what is installed - each file in that folder represents a particular installed zip file from a particular product.  As long as you let DIM handle installation and uninstallation and don't delete any files in either the ManifestFiles folder or the associated product libraries, or change any paths, it should always show exactly what is installed or not, i.e. if both the Ready to Downloads tab and the Ready to Install tab are empty, and all filters are checked, everything you have ever purchased in the DAZ store should be installed (possibly with a few exceptions (special products)).
