Messy Braided Tails weirdness

There's a weird issue I'm having with one of my favourite hair sets, OOT's Messy Braided Tails for G3/8F, and I wonder if anyone else is getting this.  All the bones work, and most of  the movement sliders do, except for the rSide3 and lSide5 sliders.  I can manipulate the rSide3 and lSide5 bones directly in the Paramaters tab, but when I select the hair and go to Actor>Movement>Side, all the sliders work, except for rSide3 and lSide5.  None of the Shift, Twist or other movement sliders have any effect.

You can see the bounding box move with some of the sliders, but nothing I do with the rSide3 or lSide5 sliders has any effect.

I love this hair to bits, and can still manage with the bones, but why wouldn't the sliders for those two bones work?   If anyone has this hair, could you please try to see how it works for you.  Thanks.

  • If you click the gear icon on the slider for rSide3  and open Parameter Settings is anything listed in the Sub-components tab at the bottom?

Aha!  For the defective sliders, it says "No Subcomponents".  For the ones that work, the field is populated with things.

Actually, I've been back and forth with support about this for a while.  They claim not to be able to reproduce the issue.  I'll send them another reply with these screenshots.

    Thank you for your help.

Thanks.  I've also sent a sitemail to OOT at Rendo to bring this to their attention directly.
