Why can't Daz Studio import the MDD file?

Anyone can be a MDD file import plugin?

    because MDD a Lightwave format.
    a coder using the SDK may be able to build a plugin or script but that needs a clever person with time on their hands and a burning desire for it
    but another way is to import as obj series as morph targets, casual has a script for this used by Marvelous Designer users to do the clothes imports.
